Help Me Understand: Crisis Management
Crises are deemed to be negative changes in life especially when they occur abruptly. Since a crisis is a testing time or an emergency event, we may panic, become stressed, or struggle to cope as a result.
Help Me Understand was launched by Insight for Living Canada to help people understand how the Bible is relevant to their everyday lives.
By addressing issues such as loneliness, anxiety, anger, and self-esteem, we show how the Bible speaks directly to their concerns.
Through these articles, we pray individuals learn to open their Bibles as a first step in times of struggle, rather than turn to the myriad of resources the world offers.
The Bible not only speaks to our emotions, empathizing with us, it also clearly explains problems and offers effective solutions.

“Have I lost my salvation? Does God still love me even though I'm doing everything wrong? And where do I go from here? I don't know what to do.”
Although we are Christians, we still struggle with sin in our flesh (Galatians 5:17-21). If we live according to the flesh we will reap dead works.
Though we're in the world, our battle is not to be like it. Worldliness means loving the values and pursuits of the world. It means gratifying and putting oneself first to the exclusion of God and His rule over our lives.
Satan and his demons operate by deceiving us, seducing us, blinding us, accusing us, and seeking to influence us in such a way as to defeat us and thereby rob God of His glory (Ephesians 6:12).
“I know I should never question those God placed in authority of the church, but I'm starting to feel exhausted always trying to measure up to their standards. It never seems like I can do enough or be enough.”
Regardless of your age do not face aging with denial. Aging is not a choice but our response to it is.
God provides redemption from our sin and a fallen world through the death of Jesus Christ. Embracing Christ as Saviour and Lord is the foundation for successful parenting.
Good or bad things can be stressors therefore stress is unavoidable. Anything that stresses one aspect of our being affects our total being.
For the most part I can tell someone who has done me wrong “I forgive you,” and really mean it. Where I have trouble is when that person has wronged someone I love.
