Our Mission is Fuelled by the Very Energy of Our Creator

Dear Friend,

As the seasons change, I’m reflecting on God’s power and sufficiency. It’s important to remember that the Almighty expends no energy that needs replenishing.

I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. (Job 42:2)

Isn’t that a comforting thought? All power resides in God’s infinite being—not a drop diminished, not a moment of weariness. He created all things from nothing, enables each breath, and orchestrates every detail without ever needing assistance.

Jesus and You Under the Fig Tree: Connecting With a Saviour You Can Trust

I’ll believe it when I see it. Have you ever said that? Someone tries to convince you of something that doesn’t sound true. Not until you see it with your own eyes will you believe it.

Philip excitedly told his friend, Nathanael,

“We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.” (John 1:45)

But Nathanael smirked with skepticism, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” (1:46).

Meeting You Where You are: Authenticity at Insight for Living

Many years ago on a hot Saturday morning, an Insight for Living staff member lay critically ill in the hospital. The family stood stunned, devastated by a prognosis that shook everyone who knew her. A colleague and I drove to the hospital to show support as best we could. It was then that Chuck and Cynthia Swindoll stepped into the room.

The Real You: Becoming Authentic to the Core

The Lord has told you what is good,

and this is what he requires of you:

to do what is right, to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with your God.

(Micah 6:8)

Most can snuff out a religious phony coming a mile away. Few odours smell worse! But the sweet fragrance of authenticity…there’s nothing like it.

After I entered the Marine Corps, they sent me 8,000 miles from home to the island of Okinawa. When I got the orders, I thought God made a mistake. In hindsight, I realize He was shaping me for a lifetime of pure devotion to Him.

President’s Letter–What’s Inside

One of the qualities I admire most about Chuck is his unwavering commitment to live an authentic life. That’s why we chose Authenticity as this quarter’s theme for our magazine. In a world that often prefers illusion over reality, and even rewards performative behaviour, it’s crucial to be authentic. When our attitudes, words, and behaviour consistently reflect Christ—both at home with our loved ones and at work—it is a clear indication that the Holy Spirit is empowering our lives.
