Tough days. We all have them. And most of us, if we’re honest, must admit we don’t handle them well. Others who love us try to help, but they tend to complicate matters.

We’ve been talking about what I’m calling “witch hunting,” the phenomenon affecting our world in which people are eager to find the Devil in every nook and cranny and to blame him for just about everything.
There is a general heading under which all this falls. It’s called “witch hunting.” Not just blaming Satan for every evil action, but finding him in every nook and cranny...thinking that he is the subtle force behind all wicked events and encounters.
To you who are tempted to turn back...I urge you instead to “stand firm...act like men, be strong”! The benefits of determination far outweigh the alternate course.

A measure of efficiency and discipline in life is absolutely healthy and necessary. Being faithful and dedicated to our work is commendable. “Redeeming the time” is biblical. But there is a point where we no longer enjoy ourselves.
To run, to quit, to escape, even to hide solves nothing...it only postpones a reckoning with reality. It may feel good now, but it’s disaster when the bills come due.
