Sometimes when you exhibit real, unvarnished integrity, you get dumped into the lions' den. Remember, God's there, too!
Though times may change, the Lord is constant.
It's no big deal for huge hunks of humanity to hit homers. But when the little fella smashes one over 400 feet, that's news.
Sometimes if we are to hear what is being said, we need to listen to what is not being said.
Before the dust settles, why not ask God to have His way in today's whirlwind and storm?
"It was at my mother's knee that I learned many of the values I hold today. A disciplined life of service for the Lord and to the needy stand out in my mind. No job was too big, no sacrifice too great, no circumstance too difficult to serve the Lord.
Think about how your own mother has influenced your life. Have you ever thanked her? Have you thanked God for your mother's influence in your life?
If you want to put a stop to mediocrity, to replace excuses with fresh determination and procrastination with tough-minded perseverance, you need discipline.
What treasured legacy has been passed on to you? What prevailing prayers, lasting love, wise warnings, hearty laughter? What are you passing on to your children?
