What treasured legacy has been passed on to you? What prevailing prayers, lasting love, wise warnings, hearty laughter? What are you passing on to your children?
Sing loud enough to drown out those defeating thoughts that clamour for attention.
Men, are you modelling manhood according to God's Word? Moms and dads, are you raising your sons to be authentically masculine? If not, why not? Think it over!
"God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens" (Genesis 1:16-17).
It's foolish to trust in riches for security and they bring no lasting satisfaction. It is God alone who supplies us "with all things to enjoy" which leads to contentment.
Let's ask our understanding Father to remind us frequently of the necessity of a cheerful spirit and to give us an appreciation for laughter.
Some people spend so much time looking for what isn't there that they fail to see what is.
