Steve is the Executive Director at Insight for Living Canada, giving oversight and direction to the ministry. He has degrees in religious education and theology and spent over 20 years pastoring in Western Canada.
The problem is lost hearts that are asleep toward God and need to be spiritually awakened. Even some professing Christians are in a spiritual stupor. There’s only one thing that can bring about a real change.
Demons cannot possess a believer. They do not have the authority to do so. The believer belongs to Christ, and neither Satan nor his demons can reclaim one who belongs to the Lord.
We were created for God and just as fish are in despair out of water so the human soul is in despair when it is outside of fellowship with God. He is the source of true fulfilment and our greatest pleasure in life is to glorify and enjoy Him forever.
June 30 marks the end of our fiscal year. Our goal to reach our budget is $200,000. Achieving that goal allows us to finish this fiscal year well and continue into the next fiscal year in a good financial position, strengthened for ministry.

Does this mean that since a Christian who commits suicide won’t go to hell we can relax and not worry so much about it? No. We need to understand the factors, especially depression, which can lead to suicide even for Christians.
There is a difference between opinions and fact/truth claims. When someone claims Jesus is not God, that’s an opinion. When Jesus says that He is God, that is a fact/truth claim. And the truth of His statement is based on objective reality.
Your support of Insight for Living Canada helps that to happen. The strengthening of believers and the salvation of the lost takes place when Pastor Chuck Swindoll preaches the truth of God’s Word and God graciously works in their hearts.
Christ’s Resurrection means believers too shall be raised—there is unimaginable dessert coming! But some believers may not be aware that’s not all it means. There’s more than just pie in the sky when we die.
