What are you doing to fulfil the Great Commission?

I’m going to level with you: No Christian gets a pass. I have no business writing a watered-down message that makes people feel good. That’s not what I’m about. It’s not what Insight for Living Canada is about.

We’re about the truth! The truth about the Great Commission is that it’s Jesus’ non-negotiable marching orders. It’s not a nice suggestion! It’s a direct command to every believer with the promise: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Let me stop you before you think, But, Chuck, I’m no Peter or John! Want to know what the disciples looked like? Look in the mirror! They didn’t have “miracle kits” or halos. Nor did they have printing presses, radios, or the Internet. None went to seminary. They were ordinary people who knew Jesus personally and obeyed His command...and their commitment turned their world upside down in their generation. Can you even imagine?

Listen, I am no more special than you who listen to my messages. What I am, by God’s grace and hard work, is faithful every day to the calling He has given me. The Great Commission is the driving force of my life. It’s what has removed the word retirement from my vocabulary. I’m in this for the long haul! Insight for Living Canada is too. We’re serious about making disciples “of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19).

But the Great Commission isn’t a one-person or one-ministry job. It’s Jesus’ final command for each of us—to achieve together.
