Since the dawn of time, mankind has asked questions like is there a God? What is He like? What must I do to please Him? Seeking answers has comprised the religious endeavours of humanity through the centuries.
Scripture teaches these questions are answered in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus answers the question of whether there is a God because He is the Son of God—deity Himself (Colossians 2:9). Jesus answers what God is like because He is the earthly image of the Heavenly Father—holy, light, love, and full of grace and truth (John 1:14-18). And to please God and we must believe in His Son Jesus because without faith it is impossible to please God (John 3:16-19; Hebrews 11:6).
Jesus was sent by God the Father to show us what He is like and to bring us into relationship with God Himself. To have a relationship with God the Father and to have eternal life we have to confess Jesus as the Son of God and be in fellowship with Him (1 Corinthians 1:9).
