Ministry Letter August 2016

“Not feeling close to God? Guess who moved!”

I don’t remember who said that but it has stuck with me over the years and captures what James wrote, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you” (James 4:8).

Taking time every day to be with the Lord and His Word is how we stay close to Him. Regular engagement in the form of receiving, reflecting, and responding to God’s Word is what makes the biggest difference in a Christian’s life every day and in every way.

For many Christians that engagement comes in the form of what we call devotions or quiet times. These are a time of Scripture reading, reflection, and prayer and of personally relating to our heavenly Father. Devotions are the backbone of a vibrant relationship with the Lord.

At Insight for Living Canada we believe time with God and His Word is essential, which is why we provide resources for daily interaction with God and His Word. Our devotional materials are available on a variety of media like on our website, in print, and through email.

Our daily devotional email is fast becoming our most popular free resource. Thousands of Canadians already receive these inspiring messages from Chuck Swindoll each morning, with more subscribing every day. Providing encouraging and trustworthy devotional resources is just one more way we’re working towards achieving our vision of distributing one million Bible-teaching resources to Canadians by 2020.

We know the material we provide helps Canadian believers stay close to the Lord. But we cannot continue providing these tools without help from you and friends like you. We rely on gifts from our ministry friends to sustain the ministry.

Can I count on your support this month?

Your investment today in Insight for Living Canada will make a difference in many lives now and for eternity.

Grateful for your help,
