Few character qualities are more important than integrity. Courage is perhaps the only one to precede it, since it stiffens our spines and sets our feet. But integrity is the bulwark upon which we stand against duplicity and hypocrisy—the twin sins of being two-faced and fork-tongued. However, life has a way of battering and beating us, causing our courage to flag and our integrity to falter. During these times, we can find strength in someone who stood like a stone wall against compromise; someone who modelled integrity regardless of the cost. That someone was Daniel.
