President’s Letter–What’s Inside

Author:

One of the qualities I admire most about Chuck is his unwavering commitment to live an authentic life. That’s why we chose Authenticity as this quarter’s theme for our magazine. In a world that often prefers illusion over reality, and even rewards performative behaviour, it’s crucial to be authentic. When our attitudes, words, and behaviour consistently reflect Christ—both at home with our loved ones and at work—it is a clear indication that the Holy Spirit is empowering our lives.

In Chuck’s article, “The Real You,” he discusses the path to authentic living. With a few reminders from Jesus’ words about hypocrisy in Matthew, he warns of the dangers of performance and people-pleasing…essential concepts for all of us today.

Although we desire to be truthful, genuine, and to thrive in the life God promises us, the journey toward authenticity is often challenging and seldom achieved by many. As Christians, we have a unique opportunity to model purity and genuine humility for our children, within our marriages, and throughout all our relationships, enabling others to see themselves as God sees them. Dave Carl, creator of Paws & Tales, points out three lies the world tells us to believe regarding who we are. If we’re not careful, we begin to believe things about ourselves that just aren’t true!

Chuck shares his own very personal journey toward living an authentic life in his upcoming memoir, Awakened by Grace, which will be released in late 2026. In this issue, you’ll enjoy a glimpse into how his autobiography came about.

At Insight for Living, we are dedicated to communicating the truths of Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ in a clear, accurate, and practical manner. Our goal is to help everyone understand God’s plan for their lives and their vital role as authentic Christians in a world that desperately needs it.

We are delighted to accompany you on your journey toward living an authentic life, embracing the freedom that God grants each one of us. We are grateful for you and available to help however we can.
