An ancient prophet of God wrote:

The LORD is slow to anger and great in power,
And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
In whirlwind and storm is His way.
(Nahum 1:3)

Strong words of warning! Our holy God of glory in no way winks at sin among His children. With power He has His way “in whirlwind and storm” as He disciplines us when we stray. We have traced David’s tragic steps downward as the consequences of his disobedience were visited upon him.

Now, let’s learn to ride out the whirlwind and the storm when we go through similar times of judgment under the smarting rod of God.
